If you are not aware of it already, the development of Soul Land 2: The Unrivaled Tang Sect was announced by Tencent and the Author back in August 2021, so the story wont end there, of course can always watch another donghua set in the same world Bing Huo Mo Chu

We are on episode 193, the last episode that was allocated on Tencent is episode 250 so still a little over a year left

But Unrivaled Tang Sect is about a different MC and all, I'd only come back because it's literally the aftermath of what happens after this.

IKR, I thought the author's statement regarding SL2 was a bit misleading, at best. He made it sound like it's a continuation of SL1--I was like WUT lol? AFAIK, 2's events are 10k years in the future, on a different continent entirely, and the former Shrek members are barely mentioned let alone featured. I believe 2.5 actually is the closest thing to a 'continuation' of SL1. Haven't read past SL1 though so not sure..

He probably forgot about it, just like he forgets things in his novels lol (I am kidding)
More than likely it is a marketing ploy to keep people interested in the Soul Land franchise and to hype it up since the Soul Land 2 novel wasnt as popular as Soul Land novel

On the Tencent streaming site the last episode is 250, it could mean anything, but I am pretty confident that it means it will be the last episode since episodes 194 to 250 is locked, even to VIP Tencent members

Great episode, haven't seen Tang San struggle, and most notably in this episode is that Xiao Wu pulled her weight, by a lot in comparison to before😅

Also, anyone know what the Donghua is at the end? The CGI and animation of it was splendid, reminds me of Perfect World and Stellar Transformations, but I'm not sure which it is🤔

The donghua trailer at the end is called Xing Chen Bian, it is rated rather high on Tencent streaming site 9.2 out of 10

Xing Chen Bian = Stellar Transformations, it's probably S3 dropping then, thanks though, it's hard at times when curiosity strikes but to no avail.

After Swallowed Star I gave up reading his novels, cause he writes like a high school kid :P

and ngl, this was a boring episode.

They are following the novel (even though they changed who they were supposed to challenge around) in the novel the voice (assumed to be the Sea God's) only announced they won and Xiao Wu accompanied Tang San
The rewards were announcedafter the all the challenges to the Pillar titled douluo was completed

Still fun and all but tbh I'm getting kinda bored, eager for the next trial. Good to see the Heaven Dou teachers and Qin Ming again. I still laugh at the director facepalming when TS dropped a black ring as an early teen, and he's like "can't believe that idiot expelled Shrek" LOL.

its to be expected isnt it? Her rewards for the completion of the sea god nine trials from tang san are stacked and not shown until tang san becomes a sea god. She doesnt have her full power due to her soul not being fully resurrected. She also cant cultivate the same way the others do because she cant stay in her body for a very long time (i think 4hours was the max. they mentioned). As of right now she is at maybe high level 60 rank while the others are between 80-85. So its only natural that she is "weak" right now compared to the others.

Yeah that's correct. I wasn't referring to her cultivation but rather how ridiculous the author has made her as a character, post-Sacrifice. And that's coming from a former SanWu guy..I won't beat a dead horse on the topic of XW though 😅

Sometimes what is in the novel doesnt translate very well to the donghua
In this instance, there were a lot of changes made, the fights were moved around, and some content were removed from the donghua

Examples
- We never get to see Oscar's 7th ability, sadly it was one of the most funniest moments during the Sea God trials
- There were a lot more conversations and bantering among them in between the challenges
- There were more background information provided about the Sea God title doulous and major residents like Xiao Bai
There are other contents I might have missed but basically some contents were removed and I feel that this made each trial fight seem boring, however we still need to get through this trial, if it was removed or the trials condensed into a few episodes then we will have people confused as to what happened or worse complain that the fights were too short

I haven't read the novel and the donghua myself but yes I really hope these trials get finished in the next couple of episodes coz waiting every wekk for an episode is too tiring when there is so much hype. ANyways, do you know if the novel is already completed or something? Or like how many more episodes do you think this show can have depending on the remianing chapters?
